Dear CWL,
I know it’s been a while since I’ve posted, but it was worth the wait. Thanks to sister Susie for showing me this truly great Washington Post Q&A with Richard Ellis, a marine conservationist at the American Museum of Natural History. Seriously, Washington Post, hire this guy for a weekly – nay, daily – column. Though half the fun is hearing the ridiulous things people are asking.

Some highlights:

So wikipedia was right about Cookie Puss being a celestial person from Planet Birthday, but they were wrong about Cookie O’Puss no longer being available. Here he is on their website. Also, I pretty much want everything Carvel makes, but apparently I will have to start my own franchise, since there are none in DC.

I think I’ve posted before about the Cookie Puss, Carvel’s signature and yet very disturbing ice cream cake. I did some research and it turns out there was once a Cookie O’Puss for St. Patrick’s day but the Anti Irish-Defamation League said it was offensive and had it pulled. You be the judge. Also, the wikipedia entry on the Cookie Puss is fascinating.
